About The Event

Shooting stars are one of the most wonderful sites you can see in the sky.

This week at Cambridge Young Astronomers we will learn about them, and specifically:

Types of Meteorite - Iron, Stony, Mixed, Carbon (you will have the opportunity to see and hold some 4.5 billion year old meteorites)

     Impact Craters on Earth

Lunar Craters Recent Impacts on the Moon

     Meteor Showers

After the short talks and a break for juice and biscuits, we will have a Planetarium indoors experience. Inside the dome, the children are taken on an incredible journey through space with our 360-degree show.
