About The Event
The discovery of black holes at the centre of galaxies with masses millions to billions times that of the Sun has been one of the most controversial and important of the last 50 years leading up to the award of the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics.
Professor Roger Davies will relate how this came about and our current view of the pivotal place the 'supermassive’ black holes play in the evolution of galaxies.
