About The Event

Recent decades have brought about a revolution in our understanding of planet formation and evolution. To date, nearly 6000 planets have been detected orbiting nearby stars in the Milky Way, typically referred to as extra-Solar planets, or “exoplanets”. In this talk, we will take a journey to the centre of a specific class of observed exoplanet known as a sub-Neptune. Dr Rogers will demonstrate the extreme environments within the interior of such planets, and demonstrate how they are pushing the limits of our knowledge of physics and chemistry.
