Our moon - CYA event for our young members aged 7-11

Our moon is our nearest astronomical neighbour and astronauts have visited it. Hopefully a new generation of astronauts will be there again soon. Today we'll be talking about how the moon formed, what we have discovered and what our plans are.

About The Event
This event is free for members. We ask non-members to make a donation of £2 to contribute to the cost of the event
Our CYA events are aimed at children aged 7-11. We ask that parents remain on site during the event to ensure that their children are happy and engaged
Today, we'll have a series of short talks covering various aspects of the moon, it's formation, recent discoveries and future plans. We will probably have some fun and games as well before a refreshments break.
After the break we will have some further activities that might include some sort of craft or modelling or a planetarium show.
Every month we have a "raffle" that includes everyone who has arrived on time for the start - so don't be late
