About The Event
You do not need to register in advance for this event. Members and guests will be asked to "sign in" on arrival. Admission is free for members and a suggested £2 for guests. We can accept cash or card payments on the door. There will also be a voluntary collection following the talk for the RAS Michael Penston memorial fund - details below. All proceeds from tonights event will be donated to the fund
The CAA AGM will start at 7.30pm. We do not expect this to take long, so plan to schedule the Penston lecture to start at 8pm as usual.
Professor Sir Carlos S. Frenk is Director of the Institute for Computational Cosmology, Durham University's world-renowned theoretical cosmology research group. Along with collaborators from all over the world, he builds model universes in state-of-the-art supercomputers, trying to understand how the structures in our Universe evolved from simple beginnings…
