Unlike the disc-shaped Kuiper belt, the Oort cloud is believed to be spherical in shape. It surrounds the Earth and everything in our solar system. Since it is far from the Sun, this big bubble is composed of icy pieces of all sizes. Billions or even trillions of them make up this spherical shell.
