The Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory is located near Cambridge, UK and is home to a number of the largest and most advanced aperture synthesis radio telescopes in the world, including the One-Mile Telescope, 5-km Ryle Telescope, and the Arcminute Microkelvin Imager.

About The Event
Important information:
1. Booking will be essential as there will be a maximum of 40 tickets.
2. Transport will be by private cars, but parking is limited so people will be encouraged to car-share where possible.
3. The entrance is from the road south of Barton and is the first on the left. The old Railway station.
4. Gates will open at 09:45 and there will then be a short lecture at 10 am about radio astronomy before we then proceed on the tour.
5. Refreshments - everyone should please bring a picnic/drinks for themselves - it can be very hot and dry if the sun is shining!
6. Price - Children members FREE, Adult members £2.50, Non-Members £5 (so you should join, the membership is only £4 a year)
