We attempt to clear away the fog and help people who want to get into astronomy to get started.
CAA
Founded in 1959 for people with an interest in astronomy in and around the Cambridge area we have been running for over 60 years! The CAA caters for all levels of interest in astronomy from absolute beginners to experts, young and old. We aim to make astronomy interesting and fun and we hope to do that for a modest subscription fee.
Observing Evenings
The event is available for the public, not only members. These events are integrated with the Institute of Astronomy's public open night program and begins at 8 pm following the indoor lecture for members, which starts at 19:15
The CAA team will give you a guided tour of the night sky, picking out a number of objects of interest via the array of telescopes which all link up to the large screens so that everyone in attendance can see at once.
Keep up to dated with what we do

CAA Library
Our Library of about 150 books, videos, CDs and DVDs can be borrowed by members, free of charge, for a month. The Library is open at every Speaker Meeting from 7.30 pm - 8.00 pm and after the talk. Items in the Library are regularly reviewed and updated. Suggestions for new additions are always welcome.
